Yogathon Challenge goes Global

Yogathon Challenge goes Global

The third edition of the Canadian initiative Yogathon is going global. On August 16, 47 cities around the world will rise for a cause – through yoga – to benefit Care for Children, a program providing free education to disadvantaged children in India

RISE FOR A CAUSE — 47 cities | 12 countries | One cause

This year, 12 countries including the UK, Scotland, Germany, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Australia, Mauritius, the United States and Canada are taking the challenge. In 15 Canadian cities from coast to coast, yoga enthusiasts and beginners will unroll their yoga mats to get energized, get in touch with their inner peace and get an opportunity to give back.

About the challenge: Do you believe in staying fit, having a good time and supporting a worthwhile cause? If so, challenge yourself to complete 108 Sun Salutations (a dynamic sequence of yoga movements). The Yogathon initiative aims to create awareness about yoga and its role in a healthy lifestyle, while raising funds for Care for Children. It transcends the barriers of age, culture and physical ability.

About Care for Children: This humanitarian and educational initiative provides free education to rural youth in India. More than 39,000 children have been educated through its schools. Both Yogathon and Care for Children are initiatives of the Art of Living Foundation.

About the Art of Living Foundation: The Art of Living Foundation is the largest volunteer-based non- governmental organization (NGO) in the world. The Foundation’s service projects, programs on meditation and stress elimination, and Sri Sri Yoga have benefited millions of people from all walks of life, religions, cultures and traditions.
