TAJ Kicks Off 12-City Tour In Mississauga

TAJ is an evocative telling of the epic story of the Taj Mahal told through theatre, dance and visual design.

Sampradaya Dance Creations presents John Murrell's TAJ on October 19th at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga.

Starring renowned Bollywood actor Kabir Bedi and Canadian Indian actress Lisa Ray, TAJ takes audiences back to 17th Century, Mughal India. It is a unique Canada India collaboration that tells a deeply evocative story of an era filled with grandeur, ambition, love and revenge.

Audience members are invited to a pre-performance chat with Lata Pada, Artistic Director of SAMPRADAYA Dance Creations, an award-winning professional dance company located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Living Arts Centre features over 225,000 square feet of multiple performance venues, studio spaces and exhibition display areas. The two main performing arts venues – Hammerson Hall and RBC Theatre are the sites for a range of arts, cultural and entertainment events presented by both the Living Arts Centre and community partners.

The Centre’s onsite restaurant, LIVE, offers diners an enjoyable experience with an exquisite taste of the arts including pre-theatre dinner buffet and post-show dessert
