SAA Culture Show: Be the Change

5,000 students to gather at the TELUS South Asian Alliance Culture Show 2009. On March 14th, 2009 the TELUS South Asian Alliance Culture Show will be hosting its 4th annual competition. 14 Universities throughout Canada will compete in the larges South Asian dance competition in North America. Students will be given the opportunity to showcase their talents through various means of Eastern and Western dance forms.

Only 1 University will go on to redeem championship title.

Taking place at the admirable Hershey Center in Mississauga, Ontario, 5,000 attendees from all over Canada are invited to experience an unforgettable weekend to witness university participants showcase unique dance steps, creative themes and props that make this a phenomenal experience.

With the theme ‘Be the Change’ the South Asian Alliance Culture Show is
hoping to raise awareness by campaigning healthy eating and regular exercise to
reduce the risk of developing Cancer in collaboration with the Canadian Cancer

South Asian Alliance (SAA) is one of the largest non-profit, student-run
organizations in Canada.
Representing 10,000 students at seven chapters across Ontario
(University of Guelph-Humber,
McMaster University,
Ryerson University,
University of Toronto
Mississauga, Scarborough and St. George, and York University),
SAA not only celebrates South Asian culture, but builds understanding and
acceptance for diversity.
