There have been a few South Asian “rock” bands. Kazak is different because…
Bands and artists usually operate as an organization. What sets Kazak apart is that we operate more as organism then an organization. We did not and will not ever create a sound which is the ‘flavor’ for the moment. Our efforts of creating a unique sound that represents KAZAK is itself what sets us apart. We aim to be brand ambassadors of our sound.
Kazak represents….
Kazak came from our determination, struggle and starvation to reach out and reach up! The album name “Avraga” came from our families, friends and acquaintances beliefs and experiences – Avraga is the people’s story. (Historically Avraga was the capital city of the Mongols where Genghis Khan made his plans to dominate Asia.)
The band…
We’re a rock ’n roll band, we’re the sharks of this sea as commercial artists aren’t swimming in our domain.
Kazak’s lead vocalist, Fezz, is a dreamer who sees the world and its inhabitants as multi-colored creatures who fuel his salvation. When Fezz performs, his creativity and charisma are unleashed, matching his strong vocals.
Fayed, who plays guitar, likes to live in tranquility, where his ideas of expression collide together creating his vibrant and rhythmic musical form. Kazak’s drummer, Aldo, is the navigator who frees Kazak from the realm of shackles of ignorance with tenacity, dominance and pride.
The album Avraga…
Avraga is almost 10 years of ideas and experimenting, squeezed in eight tracks. It took us a year to construct and record it and another year of negotiating and pleading to every record label we knew of to pick it up before signing with Fire records of Pakistan, one of Asia’s largest labels. It is our aspiration that through our songs, videos and documentary, an audio/visual adventure awaits everyone who listens to Kazak’s debut album, “Avraga”.
Over the next few months…
Promoting the debut album “Avraga” is the main objective this year through the media and performances. We are working on both local and international shows during the summer and fall of 2010 which will be updated on our website as dates are confirmed. Of course, ideas are also being experimented with for Kazak’s follow-up album.

CONCERT ALERT!!!! Kazak will be rockin' desi style at the El Macombo (www.elmocambo.ca) on June 4th - doors open at 9pm. Kazak would be proud to see some desi support at this venue so call your friends, come on out and lets have some rock'n'rolla fun...!
