| The
place is tucked away in a plaza on East Beaver Creek, very
accessible from Highway 7 or Highway 404. A sign from the
road points you to Jaipur and you think to yourself that
it looks like a small place.
And
then you enter the restaurant. Lo and behold, you are immediately
transported to the deserts and village life of Rajasthan.
One entire wall is painted into arches depicting the village
people of Rajasthan. The colours are warm and welcoming.
One corner is resplendent with Lord Ganesh in different
forms and positions; Lord Ganesh who solves the problems
in our lives. It takes you a few minutes to settle down
as you soak in the ambience and the warmth of this cozy
restaurant.
And
then its time for the buffet lunch. A sumptuous spread of
salads, non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes appeal to the
palate from the buffet table. And when you fill up your
plate, you can actually see the different colors of food
on the white china.
In
the evening, you can enjoy a sit down meal with your cool
partner in this cozy and tucked away restaurant. The waiters
are resplendent in regal outfits as they serve you and provide
the royal touch to the ambience.
The
menu card is unusual in the way that it is color-coded.
So if you are vegetarian, you can easily spot all the greens
in the menu; the seafood is in blue, poultry is red and
lamb has been assigned a flaming orange color. Very convenient
and colorful to the eye!
