  Cuisine of India
Review by Curry Boy

This place is more than your average lumps of meat and vegetables in multi coloured sauces. At Cuisine of India, the flavors entangle themselves in 'the forbidden dance'. Spicy plays off mild, sour grinds with sweet. Oooh!!! it's getting hot in here! Lu and I were there mid-week but the restaurant was still busy. The owner-chef calmly made naan in the tandoor as his restaurant quickly filled up. This man is one cool cat. The menu is full of Tandoori items, and there are also many vegetarian choices. More importantly, the dessert's (my favourite part) were right on. I started with the mango ice cream as a dessert appetizer. Charming. For the dessert main course - gulab jamuns from heaven.

I recommend these mouth watering morsels:

Meat: Nayali Murg - A Madras specialty
Vegetarian: Shahi Bhindi
Desert: Gulab Jamun

Dinner for two:
Appetizers, 2 Dishes, Naan, Rice, Wine, Desert, Coffee and Tip (I do it up right!): $78.00

Address: 5222 Yonge St. North York.
Between Sheppard and Finch. (416)229-0377
TTC Stop : North York Centre
Area and Attractions: If you'd like to take your lovely lady to a musical or concert, then the Ford Centre for Performing Arts is close by.
