SUHAAG SHOW





A real treat! That was the general feeling of the awe-struck patrons who attended last week's 10 Year Anniversary SUHAAG Show, which was presented by RADO and TELUS. The event was everything that the organizers of the show had promised - and more! From glamorous outfits, a wide array of exhibitors, exotic cars, video and mandap set-ups, sumptuous food, chocolate truffle samples and free giveaways, the event proved to be a big hit.

With over 130 booths, people flocked through the doors of the Toronto Congress Centre to get a taste of what exhibitors had to offer. Anywhere from photographers and mendhi artists, to financial consultants and fashion specialists, the SUHAAG show provided visitors with information on weddings, fashion, and lifestyle all under one roof.

Those who attended were also lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase the highly anticipated 2008 issue of SUHAAG Weddings, Fashion and Lifestyle magazine. The response was overwhelming as people were looking to be the first ones to get a glimpse of the 350 page publication-the largest magazine to date. SUHAAG also released a 10-Year Anniversary edition book that celebrates and profiles community success stories. Moreover, the SUHAAG team also unveiled a Wedding Portfolio that will assist would-be-couples to plan the perfect wedding; another first of its kind in Canada.

Although there were many highlights during the day, one of the focal points was the announcements of various winners for the great prizes SUHAAG had to offer. Some of which included: His/Her RADO watch, 4-hour Ferrari Rental, Telus Palm Treo, and a Honeymoon Package to the Bahamas.

If that was not enough, those who were present at the event also got a glimpse of this year's upcoming fashion trends by Toronto's top 10 Fashion Boutiques. The uniquely created designs displayed not only conventional outfits, but also traditional styles fused together with Canadian designs. Those who were unable to attend the show should not worry since several of the outfits that were presented on stage, can be seen in the magazine. The entertainment packed day also had the youthful and mesmerizing voice of Meher Pavri, the reigning Miss India-Canada, perform at this year's event.

If this year's event is any indication of what's to come ahead, we can be convincingly assured that SUHAAG will continue to amaze us all.
