"Stuck? Get Unstuck!"

Here you are hitting the gym 6 days a week, spending an hour each day and your weight or body fat percentage just doesn't seem to be moving. Are you frustrated and at a point where you feel like giving up? Don't worry there might be a simple solution like reviewing your workout. Read through some of the suggestions below and see if one of them fits your needs.

Do you find yourself just going through the motions while working out? At the end of your workout do you feel you could have worked harder? If you answered yes to one of these questions then stop cheating yourself. Become your own personal trainer and push yourself a little. Push yourself to your limit but not to the point of pain or to a point where you cannot say a single word. If you are working out on cardio machines, figure out what your heart rate should be. Once you have figured out your maximum heart rate try to workout in that range.

Are you lifting weights? Lifting weights builds muscle, the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn at rest. Try lifting weights for each of the major muscle groups. Be sure to give yourself at least 24 to 48 hours rest before working that same muscle group. However, cardio you can do two days in a row.

If you have been doing the same workout routine for some time it might be time to change it up. You should be changing some component of your workout every 4 to 6 weeks. Try changing cardio machines, try changing your weight training exercises, try a new sport or try an aerobic class. When lifting weights you can change the number of sets, the number of repetitions or the amount of weight you lift. When doing cardio on a machine you can change the program, the resistance, the speed or the duration of your workout. You can also try interval training, which consists of a few minutes of weight training followed by a few minutes of cardio. This is an excellent way to burn calories!

Last but not least, take a look at your diet. When it comes to losing weight people don't realize how important ones diet really is. Write down everything you eat for the next few days and see if there are any changes you can make. A small change can make a big difference!
