Have
you heard that we are taller in the morning and become
shorter as the day progresses? It is so because of
the decrease in space between the vertebrae of the
spine. Therefore, if we were to stretch the spine
upward vertically, it is possible to add to our height.
For good health it is also necessary that the interspaces
between the vertebrae are kept normal.
Raise
both the arms forward and upward from the starting
position simultaneously raising yourself on the toes
and shown in Fig. 1. When you have brought both your
arms close to the ear, remain there for two or three
seconds, Fig. 2. Finally, rotate your arms by a backward
circuit till the hands return to the starting position.
The hand must go as far as possible towards the back,
Fig. 3, when they are about to return to normal. Avoid
strain in the back, and see that the raised heels
slowly touch the floor.
