History
Many believe that the first human being originated in Eastern
Africa. Some of these early people migrated out of Kenya,
while others stayed behind. Over the years, Kenya became
home to Arabs, Persians, Portuguese, South Asian and European
migrators.
Kenya,
along with the rest of Africa became integrated into the
British Empire. Only after several years of fighting, riots,
civil unrest and the death of hundreds of thousands of Africans
did the British government open negotiations with African
leaders over its independence. This finally took place
in the 1963.
