MyBindi
Thursdays, Where South Asian Arts Meets Technology
Toronto,
Canada - After an extremely successful launch
on October 19th, the team at MyBindi.com are
busy preparing for MyBindi Thursdays Part II
on November 16th. MyBindi.com, Toronto's leading
virtual South Asian community, invites you to
join them for an evening of music, cocktails,
and chitchat, hosted by local celeb Karen Johnson.
The
purpose of the event? To bring together elements
of the arts and technology. "It's a fun and
eclectic mix of artists, media personalities,
techno-geeks, suits and party-goers…and it works!"
says Sandeep Bawa, co-founder of MyBindi.com.
Through each monthly gathering, revelers will
be exposed to a variety of South Asian artists
and tech companies. "The website itself is derived
from a blend of artistic and technical talents.
I can't think of anyone better to conceive and
host such an event," says Manisha Bawa, also
a MyBindi founder.
This month's featured artist is Sheinina Raj,
whose visual art will be projected unto the
dance floor. Sheinina has photographed extensively
in the music, fashion and arts industry for
clients such as Virgin Music, Hugo Boss, and
the National Ballet. Making a cameo appearance
with a blast of live dhol is the juno-nominated
Toronto Tabla Ensemble.
Local
tech companies will contribute to the revelry.
Ycrave.com will be sponsoring a grand prize
giveaway of a catered dinner for ten. Guests
can participate in the making of internet TV
with BlackHoleTV.com.

Reception: 6 pm cocktails; 6:45 pm info session
