MyBindi’s powerful offline presence can
be seen at our monthly events which attract
as many as 800 young professionals. Since it's
entry into event creation and promotions, MyBindi
has made a notable contribution to South Asian
community programming. Over the past five years,
MyBindi has successfully organized a series
of unique, sold-out events for the discerning
young South Asian professional. These themed
events include music, performances, giveaways
and celebrity appearances. These first-of-it's
kind initiatives have attracted extensive media
attention, including television, radio, and
print coverage.
MyBindi Awards
Launched in November, 2001, this glamarous,
star-studded event is the first of it's kind
to recognize the extensive contributions of
South Asian artists, entertainers, media and
entrepreneurs in Canada. In addition to awarding
South Asian achievement, this event aims to
inspire South Asian youth to pursue their own
goals and instills pride and appreciation of
South Asian culture within the mainstream. This
is a people’s choice forum, and thousands
of community members participate by sending
in their nominations, voting online and joining
in the celebration. Given it's positive impact
on the community, the MyBindi Awards Show attracts
significant media, community and corporate support.

MyBindi
Comedy Night
The very first all-South Asian Comedy Show based
in Toronto, the MyBindi Comedy Night is a jam-packed
evening of side-splitting comedy and explosive
new acts! Unlike anything else on stage, the
MyBindi Comedy Night features every style of
humour from slapstick, musical and improv acts
to intelligent and daring social commentary.

MyBindi Thursdays
MyBindi Thursdays was initially launched to
bring the virtual community together. Hundreds
of South Asian students and young professionals
gather to see and be seen at a trendy downtown
venue. This after-work social allowed MyBindi
to connect with its audience, promote it's latest
initiatives and showcase up and coming artists,
community organizations and small businesses.
Since then, MyBindi Thursdays has evolved into
a series of fun-filled, jam-packed theme parties,
where people will wait in line to enjoy music,
complimentary h'or d'ouevres, entertainment,
giveaways and celebrity drop-ins. Previous themes
have included MyBindi Bollywood, MyBindi Mardi

MyBindi Home Show
Another first in North America, the The MyBindi
Home Show is an open-house event taking place
at a stylish, model home in downtown Toronto.
Participants will enjoy a relaxing afternoon
that includes informative seminars, vendor stalls,
expert cooking demos and interactive home and
décor workshops – all with a South
Asian flair. Unlike it's mainstream equivalents,
the MyBindi Home Show provides information and
resources specific to the South Asian community.

Mix Fridays
MyBindi and BindiDates was the first to bring
the speed-dating phenomenon to the Canadian
South Asian community through Mix Fridays. This
low-key, downtown event allows BindiDates and
MyBindi members to meet offline in a casual,
comfortable environment. The evening includes
complimentary appetizers, music and interactive
