  Aditi Swaminathan
A peek into Aditi and her art!

Aditi Swaminathan is a visual artist living and working in Brampton , Ontario . She comes from New Delhi , India and gives credit to her motherland to have instilled in her a keen sense of observation of things ordinary and extraordinary and holding so much potential in the creative realm! Also credit goes to her mother Sudha who from the beginning has influenced Aditi’s artistic abilities and has shaped her technical capabilities.

Aditi has been striving to balance and pursue “art” with a corporate career for some years now but decided that if her passion had to truly blossom, it would have to be at the cost of the latter. At least for the time being!!! There has never been any looking back. She has traveled the world and lived in and seen places like Pune, Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lampur, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Brisbane, San Francisco where she has found inspiration in everyday life and for her work.

Though watercolors are her favorite medium, she works in Oils, charcoal & pastels too. She also paints the folk art from India called the Madhubani and Warli style of paintings and also has deep interest in Egyptian paintings, hieroglyphs, Ceramics and the Pueblo pottery.

Aditi’s work suggests a luminous art de vivre. Her painting philosophy is reflected with the use of bold color and luminosity. Her signature style follows a loose style of painting with emphasis on color and light and in all her work, she strives to create images that attract the viewer by virtue of their simplicity.

Whether it’s that sunflower dancing in the sun, or a fisherman or a dog walker, her images transport the viewer of actually being present there. That in essence is how she wants to relate to her viewers!

Aditi is inspired by travel, doing good for others, changing of seasons, live music, plants, flowers, butterflies, dogs and people who follow their dreams and are dedicated to fulfilling their passions.
