The sharp cat eye look made the runaways. Cat eyes are sexy and seductive and suits almost everyone. Creating the perfect cat eye look is all about using and properly applying liquid eyeliner or eye pencil to create a hard line around the eye.
How to apply your makeup to create cat eye look:
Step One. Apply an eyeshadow base
The best way to make your eye shadows stay put on for longer is applying an eyeshadow base. Eyeshadow bases are nude eye base that glides on perfectly. A good eyeshadow base will not only prevent your shadows from creasing but it will make your eyeshadow last longer. To apply an eyeshadow base use a brush or your fingertips and apply on entire eyelid. Then apply your eyeshadow.
Step Two. Use eye liner
You can create the cat eye look simply by using liquid eyeliner or eye pencil to line your lash line. Most professional makeup artists usually use liquid eyeliner as it creates a thicker line, but for others it is kind of hard to use, so they prefer using the eye pencil. Always use black or brown colors when creating a cat eye look.
Line your eyes
Always use a sharp eyeliner or liquid liner, and start with the inner corners of your eyes. Dot along the top of your lashes moving from the inner corners of the eyes outwards. Make sure you follow the natural curve of the eye. Then you want to extend the line a little bit for the cat eye effect. Remember: you should make the line as close to the lashes as possible.
Step Three. * Apply eyeshadows
If you want to apply eyeshadow you can, but, the traditional cat eye look doesn't involve any eyeshadows. The smoky cat eye look is very popular amongst the younger women as it looks very sexy, seductive and classy. You want to use two or three, light, medium, and dark colors to create this look, and again you want to extend the shadows out and around the lower lash line for more of a complete look
Step Four. Curl your eyelashes
Use eyelash curler to curl your lashes in order to open up your eyes. Simply by taking your eyelash curler and placing your lashes in between and squeezing for about 5 seconds, and release, and you may repeat this step, to curl them more.
Step Five. Apply mascara
Now is the time to apply mascara - black or brown looks great for cat eyes. Go with a waterproof mascara so it doesn't smudge. Another little tip for your mascara to last longer is to apply some powder to the lashes, it will also give your lashes more volume. Apply at least 2-3 coats.
Step Six. Consider applying false lashes
If you want to create a more sophisticated cat eye look consider applying fake lashes. The false lashes will widen and open your eyes, to give you the perfect cat eye look.
