CFMT-TV's Ishtyle TV debuted in November 2000 and since that time, both the programme and its high-octane host, Mo-D, have developed quite a following. Thanks to Mo-D and his sidekick, Najeeb, Ishtyle TV viewers – mostly, but not exclusively, Internet savvy young adults of South Asian heritage – have been treated to a twice weekly hyperactive (and interactive!) half hour, designed especially for them!

In sync with the exacting needs of today's cyber-active generation, the programme features a weekly visit to local community "hot spots," direct links to cool, happening sites on the internet and sometimes, special guests, who drop by the studio to chat with the Ishtyle TV crew, share a laugh or the latest gossip. Plus, there's music videos spinning throughout the programme, and Mo-D regularly interacts with the community, personally, both on-location and through email.

Mo-D's frenetic personality and self-deprecating charm, the zany antics of his on-air colleagues and the programme's energetic pacing, have successfully combined to make Ishtyle TV a runaway success with its lucrative target market. Enthusiastic fan email continually floods ishtyletv@cfmt.com with feedback, jokes and website suggestions – and some devotees have even formed their own Mo-D/Ishtyle TV fan club.

The programme airs Saturdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., positioned as the concluding half-hour of CFMT-TV's highly-viewed South Asian programming corridor. An alternative viewing opportunity of Ishtyle TV is offered Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

Ishtyle TV host, Mo-D, has had his share of high profile exposure. In his counterpart role as an on-air personality at KISS 92-FM, he's been a Toronto Sun Sunshine Boy, had feature stories written about him in Toronto newspapers, and been privileged to meet and interact with musical artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado, and The Backstreet Boys, and with sports celebrities including Darryl Sittler, the Toronto Argos and the WWF's Trish Stratus. Mo-D holds a Radio Broadcasting Diploma from Humber College and currently resides in Thornhill, Ontario.
