Kapil came, he saw, he conquered!
Taking the stage in Canada after being diagnosed with a slip disc earlier this month, his bad back was no impediment to him thoroughly entertaining the sold-out audience. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kapil’s inbound flight to Toronto was delayed and being the professional artist he is, Kapil insisted on heading straight to the venue to perform.
Opening with a nonstop comedy filled monologue nearing almost 55 minutes in duration, the actor-comedian had people completely captivated, wowed and in splits right from the very beginning. Accompanied by gorgeous woman dressed in police uniform Kapil made a memorable entry through the crowd. The Honorable Jason Kenney, Minister of National Defence for Canada was present at the show and shared a humorous interaction with Kapil Sharma on stage.
A favourite amongst all ages for his brilliant comic sense and timing, Kapil celebrated the overwhelming success of his Hamilton show taking to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his uncontainable joy. He posted pictures of himself along with the swarming crowd.
“Feeling blessed,” “12 thousand people in Hamilton… Can’t believe… Stay happy,” he further wrote thanking the crowd, “Thank you Toronto… Hamilton… Lots of love.”
Kapil who is currently on a break from Comedy Nights with Kapil due to his injury, will make his Bollywood debut with Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, which is slated to release on September 25.
One of the leading ladies from the film, Manjari Phadnis also made a special appearance at the show along with Comedy Nights with Kapil favourites Dadi (Ali Asgar), Bua (Upasana Singh), Gutthi (Sunil Grover), Palak (Kiku Sharda) and Mrs. Sharma (Sumona Chakravarti).
One of the most successful shows in the history of Indian television, the show left a lasting impression on Canadian audiences which will be remembered for a long time to come.
