Swami Ramdev's unique contribution to the global yoga revolution is his primary emphasis on Pranayam, or simple breathing exercises. He has combined Yoga and Ayurveda (an ancient Indian form of medicine) as an effective means for slowing, preventing or even treating various type of common illnesses. Swami Ramdev's ultimate goal is to spread this knowledge to society in a form from which all individuals may benefit, regardless of religion, class, or socioeconomics status.

Swami Ramdev hopes to further his vision of a disease-free world through the help of Yoga. He has established yoga camps to teach his exercises, as well as raise funds to scientifically explore the benefits of Ayurveda and Yoga. His merits have been recognized by a variety of international leaders, including the Health Minister of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Vice President of India. Most recently, he was invited by the United Nations as a special guest during their "Stand Up Against Poverty" conference.
