| The 6th Annual
Small World Festival
The 6th Annual Small World festival features artists from over a dozen
countries over a full two weeks, it takes place in spaces ranging from the
intimacy of Lula Lounge to the grandeur of Massey Hall. Tickets for all
shows are available for purchase through the website @ www.smallworldmusic.com/catalog/
The return to town of the Dhoad Gypsies of Rajasthan, the spellbinding
drumming of Amazones, the return of world music diva Mariza, Marcel Khalife,
the 'Bob Dylan of the Middle East' and World on a String, a collaboration of
some of the country's finest players are just a handful of the highlights.
Two exciting public workshops will engage drummers (Amazones Sunday the
23rd) and string players (World on a String, Thursday the 27th) as well as
music enthusiasts in a deep immersion of talent.
A big shout out to our festival supporters: media partner CBC Radio One,
