After
movies like Jism, Paap, Murder and Rog, the “Bhatts”
bring you the movie “Zeher”. The story revolves
around Siddharth (Emraan Hashmi) who is a police officer
and is part of the narcotics team. He is married to Sonia
(Shamita Shetty) but due to the some domestic problems they
are estranged. Sonia is pregnant but wants an abortion and
due to this Siddharth kicked her out of the house. He finds
solace in alcohol and regrets letting Sonia go away.
He meets Anna (Udita Goswami) and they have an affair. Anna
is married to Shaun (Sameer Kocchar) who is in the drug
business and he beats her. Anna finds out she has cancer
and now she needs money to get medical treatment. Siddharth
comes to the rescue and takes the money from the police
safe and gives it to Anna. Soon after, Anna’s house
is on fire and the police arrive to investigate the situation.
Siddharth now becomes scared because at the lead investigator
is his estranged wife, Sonia.
Siddharth now has to find a way to cover up his affair and
the money that he took from the police safe. He manages
to keep one step ahead of the investigation but for how
long will his luck last? Will he be able to redeem himself
and get back his wife?
The movie soundtrack features an amazing track called “Who
Lamhe Who Baatein” which is being compared to the
hit song “Bheegey Hont” from the movie “Murder”.
This movie was different in the sense that you really didn’t
know what was going to happen next. The performances were
pretty good considering the star cast is full of new actors.
You can see Shamita Shetty and sister
Shilpa Shetty fight over Manoj Bajpai in the movie “Fareb”
and she will also be part of the movie “Mohabbat Ho
Gayi Hai Tumse”.
