If you've seen the English movie "Hitch", then you may experience déjà vu when you watch "Partner".
Prem (Salman Khan) grew up in a house full of women and this was a blessing in disguise. He learnt how woman think and how they liked to be treated. Prem becomes a love guru and uses his knowledge of women to help other men woo the girl of their dreams. Bhaskar (Govinda) is a nerdy, shy and clumsy fellow who is in love with Priya (Katrina Kaif), the daughter of a rich business tycoon and also his boss.
Bhaskar, hires Prem to help him get Priya, but Prem refuses to help Bhaskar. Bhaskar follows Prem around and finally Prem gives in and tries to help Bhaskar. Prem meets Naina (Lara Dutta) along the way and is smitten by her. Prem tries to woo Naina but she ignores him. He pursues her and finds out that she's a single mother who has a son. He then has to win over Naina's son before she gives him a chance.
With the help of Prem, Bhaskar is slowly wooing Priya and she starts falling for Bhaskar but before the deal is sealed, Prem's true profession comes to light and now Priya and Naina think that they are being used. Prem and Bhaskar now have to convince them that it's love and not a game.
I enjoyed the movie and thought that Salman and Govinda made a good comedic pair onscreen. Govinda was the perfect actor to play the role of Kevin James' character in "Hitch". The music is quite good and the title song is catchy. This movie was supposed to be Govinda's 'comeback' movie although he's been featured in "Salaam-E-Ishq" and "Bhagam Bhag" prior to "Partner". Salman and Govinda are the best dancers and both have done a wonderful job on the songs. If you love laughing then watch the movie "Partner".
