Cast: Salman Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Sneha Ullal &
Kader Khan
Director: Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru

“Lucky” is set in Russia and features newcomer Sneha Ullal as Lucky and Salman Khan as Aditya. Lucky is a young school girl whose live turns upside down in a split second. Aditya is a carefree and charming gentleman who loves his car more than anything else. The morning starts off with Lucky waking up late on the day of her exams. While riding to school, she wishes that the exams would be postponed, as she is not prepared for it. Her bicycle gets a flat tire and while walking, she comes across a stranger who offers to help her fix the tire.

The stranger then tries to lure her into his trailer and she narrowly escapes by hitting him with her lunch box. While running away from him, she lands up in the backseat of a parked car. As the stranger is about to enter the car, Aditya comes to the rescue and chases him away. Aditya then drives off without knowing that Lucky is in the car. After he discovers Lucky, an explosion goes off and they drive to safety. They end up in a graveyard and have to survive there until they can be rescued.

On his way to catch some fish, Aditya finds a pipe with water and he fills up his bottle with the water. Later, Lucky drinks the water innocently without knowing that it was poisoned. After hearing an announcement from a passing helicopter, Aditya finds out the water is poisoned and now he has to get to Lucky before she drinks it. As he reaches her, she passes out and now he has to take a risk and get her to a doctor right away. On his way to find a doctor, he meets this half-Indian man who says he can help him find a doctor but wants something in return. Aditya offers him all the money he has but this is not enough for the man and in the end, Aditya trades his beloved car for his new love, Lucky.

While all this is happening, both Aditya’s father and Lucky’s father have hired “PD” to find them. PD (Mithun Chakraborty) is a master of disguise and manages to track them down but then loses them. Aditya and Lucky must know find their way to the airport in time to get on the last flight to Delhi. Will they be able to do it or would their love story end in Russia?

The music of the film was done by Adnan Sami and is a must have with beautiful songs like “Sun Zara”, “Jaan Meri Ja Rahi”, “Shayad Yahi To Pyar Hai” and the catchy number “Lucky Lips”. Sneha Ullal does have a slight resemblance to Aishwarya Rai, but she cannot be compared to Aishwarya as she has a long, long way to go to make waves in Bollywood. You can see her again in “Aryan” opposite Sohail Khan and you can see Salman in his forthcoming movies, “No Entry”, “Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar”, “Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya”, “Kyunki” and the Hollywood movie “Marigold”.
