Gangster - A Love Story

Director: Anurag Basu
"Gangster - A Love Story" comes from the director of the mega hit "Murder". Simran (Kangna Ranaut) is an alcoholic who lives in Seoul Korea where she meets Akash (Emraan Hashmi), a singer at a club. At first Simran is very secretive about her life and is hesitant to let Akash get close to her. Eventually, Simran gives in and falls in love with Akash but he is unaware that there's another man in Simran's life.
Daya (Shiney Ahuja) is a gangster on the run and he's in love with Simran. Daya makes it to Seoul but is shattered when he sees Akash leaving Simran's house. Simran is surprised to see Daya and she starts arguing with him but he stays silent. Daya in a fit of rage beats up Akash but then Simran intervenes. Both Simran and Daya return to the house but are soon on the run again as the police are after them.
While on the run, Simran finds out that she's pregnant with Akash's child. Unbeknown to Daya, Simran calls Akash and they both arrange to meet. Akash then convinces Simran to give up Daya to the police. What should Simran do, should she give up the man who truly loves her or should she go away with Akash and start a new life?
Apparently, don Abu Salem was against this movie being released as he claimed that it was about him. I absolutely loved this movie; the most touching scene is where Daya and Simran meet at the train station. Shiney Ahuja was brilliant and for a new comer, Kangna was good too. As usual the "serial kisser" Emraan does have some kissing scenes with Kangna. Surprise, surprise!! The movie soundtrack is very good with beautiful songs like "Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai", "Bheegi Bheegi" and "Lamha Lamha".
