“Dil Maange More” revolves
around Nikhil (Shahid Kapoor) who must be the unluckiest
guy when it comes to love. Nikhil and Neha (Soha Ali Khan)
are in love but she wants more in life than just living
in the same little village. She leaves for Mumbai to follow
her dream of becoming an airhostess. Nikhil ventures out
to find her make her realize how much he loves her. After
they meet, she makes it clear that she does not want to
go back to the village and ends her relationship with Nikhil.
Nikhil finds a job in a record store
where he meets Sara (Tulip). On the rebound, he soon falls
in love with Sara, later he finds out that she has a boyfriend
and was just using him to make her boyfriend jealous. He
then meets Shagun (Ayesha Takaria) who leaves in the same
building. Shagun is a very brash girl who does not like
men at all because of how her father treated her mother.
Soon Nikhil manages to get on her good side and they eventually
fall in love.
Neha comes back in the picture as she
realizes she wants Nikhil back. Now Nikhil is torn between
his feelings for Shagun and his feelings for his first love
Neha. He decides to turn Neha down and stay with Shagun.
As he overcomes this situation, soon after Sara comes back
to Nikhil as she broke up with her boyfriend and now wants
Nikhil. Again Nikhil chooses Shagun over Sara, but Shagun
comes to know about the other two girls.
Will poor Nikhil finally succeed
in love and get the woman of his dreams? This is a very
comedic performance for Shahid and he was very funny in
the movie. This is Soha Ali Khan’s debut film and
she has to live up to her mother (Sharmila Tagore) and brother
(Saif Ali Khan). You might remember Tulip from “Mere
Yaad Ki Shaadi Hai” and Ayesha Takaria from “Tarzan”.
The music soundtrack is a must have with songs like “Maine
Chun Liya”, “O Makhna Ve” and the hit
song “Gustakh Dil Tere Liye”.
