Cast: : Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Manoj Bajpai, Kareena Kapoor, Shamita Shetty, Kabir Bedi & Nafisa Ali
Director: Dharmesh Darshan

“Bewafaa” is the story of Anjali (Kareena Kapoor) and the sacrifice she makes to uphold her family’s obligation. The movie is set in Montreal where Anjali lives with her parents. Anjali is young, beautiful and full of life and has a boyfriend, Raja (Akshay Kumar). She has not told her parents about Raja who is a modest singer. Anjali’s sister Aarti (Sushmita Sen) is married to Aditya (Anil Kapoor) and is expecting twins.

Aarti dies while delivering her babies and a part of Anjali also dies too as now she has to decide whether to marry the man she loves or to marry the man who her sister loved. Her parents leave the decision in Anjali’s hand and after thinking about it, she decides to marry Aditya and become a mother to her nieces. At first the atmosphere in the house is awkward but soon, things change and now Anjali is falling in love with Aditya and he also feels something happening.

One day, Anjali bumps into Raja and he still has feelings towards her and hopes that she will run away with him. Anjali meets Raja on the sly but soon cuts off the relationship after realizing her true feelings for Aditya. Will Raja be able to convince Anjali to leave Aditya? Will Aditya make a sacrifice and return Anjali to her first true love, Raja?

I was expecting more from this film but was a little disappointed with the ending. The songs were okay with memorable ones like “Ek Dil Ruba” and “Ishq Chupta Nahin”. Anil Kapoor can be seen in the forthcoming movies “No Entry” and “Chocolate”. Akshay Kumar will be seen opposite Karisma Kapoor and Amisha Patel in “Mere Jeevan Saathi” and you can catch Kareena Kapoor and beau Shahid Kapoor in “Milenge Milenge”.
