Priya (Kareena Kapoor) is a young graduate who is about to apply for her first job at a lawyers’ office. As she arrives for the interview, she cannot remember the house number. She ends up going to Raj Malhotra’s (Akshay Kumar) house and assumes he is the lawyer. Raj is looking for a maid and assumes that Priya has come for that job. Eventually Raj figures out the truth and is now scared to tell Priya, as he is in love with her and doesn’t want her to leave him. Priya eventually finds out the truth too and swindles a confession out of Raj.

The two get married and begin their lives together. Raj works for a cellular phone company and at the company’s anniversary meeting, promotions are being announced. Mr. Roy (Amrish Puri) arrives along with his wife, the very young Sonia (Priyanka Chopra). Sonia is the new boss and is the one who decides who gets the promotions. Raj is disappointed when his friend gets the job he was hoping to get. Then comes the announcement from Sonia that the newest member of the Board of Directors is Raj.

Sonia is very flirtatious with Raj and makes advances towards him. Raj ignores Sonia and is committed to his wife, Priya. Sonia is not going to stand back and get turned down by Raj, she forces herself on him and reluctantly Raj gives in but then he catches a glimpse of the charm (a picture of Priya) on his necklace and he backs away. The next day, Raj is called into Sonia’s office where Mr. Roy is waiting for him. Raj is confronted with the allegation of raping Sonia and is told to sign a resignation letter and leave the company.

Raj refuses to sign the resignation letter and walks out of the office. His co-workers overheard everything and now they believe he raped Sonia. The issue goes to court and both sides are armed and ready to fight to the end. Will the truth about Raj and Sonia come out? What will become of Priya? Find out when you watch “Aitraaz”.

I think this is Priyanka’s best performance to date. Akshay and Kareena are okay but some of their scenes together were really cheesy. The soundtrack is a must have especially for songs like “Gela, Gela”, “Yeh Dil Tumpe Aa Gaya” and “Tala Tum”. Akshay and Kareena can be seen in the upcoming movie “Bewafaa” and Priyanka’s next release is “Blackmail”.
