South Asian Gala for Cancer Research

If you have a flair for fashion and enjoy the aromatic flavours of South Asian cuisine, then join us for an evening of Fashion, Food and Fun at the Canadian Cancer Society?s South Asian Gala for Cancer Research. The event is in support of leading edge cancer research and will be held at Moonlight Convention Centre, 6835 Professional Court in Mississauga on November 12, 2010 from 6pm-1am.

Join us for a fashion show including; beautiful Sari’s and accessories, live music & entertainment, South Asian buffet, silent auction and henna! The Canadian Cancer Society is very excited to be hosting the South Asian Gala for Cancer Research.  We look forward to bringing cancer awareness and information to the South Asian community across Peel Region and the GTA.  Anyone can fight cancer by doing everything they can to prevent it from ever happening in the first place.  Cancer prevention starts with healthy living.  By making healthy lifestyle choices, you can reduce your risk of getting cancer.  

The society knows that when faced with a cancer diagnosis, knowledge is power.  We work hard to provide Canadian with accessible information when they need it.  Cancer information materials are available in Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi and Urdu in print and online at cancer.ca.  We also offer a free, multilingual cancer information phone service to cancer patients, their families, and the general public.  This service is available in more than 100 languages.   

The Canadian Cancer Society’s, Brampton/Caledon/Georgetown/Dufferin County Unit invites you to come out to support this fantastic evening of food, fun and fashion in support of breast cancer research!  Tickets are $40 for Adults, $35 for Students, $20 for Children and $75 for VIP.  We are also offering 4 different levels of Sponsorship from $150.00 to $1,000.  To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or to donate an item for the auction, please contact Jennifer at 905-451-4460 ext. 3827.
