For the second time in Canada, enthusiasts of Indian classical music will be treated to a truly traditional experience of an all-night concert.

Held at the venerable St. Andrews Church on September 24th, the event will bring together some of the top names in Indian classical music like Ud. Aasish Khan (sarod), Ud. Shujaat Khan (sitar), Prof. Trichy Sankaran (Mridangam), Samir Chatterjee (tabla), Pt. Nagraj Rao Havaldar (vocal), Snehasish Mozumder (Mandolin), Kedar Naphade (harmonium), Ramneek Singh (vocal), P. S. Mohankumar (ghatam), Desi Narayan (kanjira), Shibalik Ghosal (tabla), Dibyarka Chatterjee (tabla), Parag Marathe (harmonium) and Omkar Havaldar on vocal support.
Chhandayan has been hosting All-night concerts of Indian Classical music in North America (New York City) for the last 12 years. This event in Toronto is an extension of that tradition to satisfy the enthusiasm of the connoisseurs of Indian Classical music in Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, other neighboring towns and cities like Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo and other neighboring places.
Listening to Indian music throughout the night, absorbing the effects of the series of ragas being performed in such a spiritually vibrant atmosphere is an experience never to be expected in any other circumstances. It is absolutely unique of its kind, beyond description.
