Krantiveer - The Revolution Movie Review
This one is billed as a sequel to KRANTIVEER. It probably has to go down in the Guinness book as a sequel, which comes almost 16 years later.
In addition, the only reference to the earlier film is the garlanded photographs of Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia. There's their daughter too, played by newcomer Jahan Bloch who rattles off her dialogues as if there is no tomorrow and swears, kicks and punches and abuses any male who she feels is 'trying to be smart'.
If Dimple was a journalist, Roshni (Jahan) stumbles into a television channel on recommendation after she fails to get a job of her liking, 25 interviews later. She is a hit. She is joined by a lad who is on a holiday from the Army. He too joins her as the anchor, just like that, and together they try to expose the corruption in the government and police forces. There's also a politician's son and a builder's offspring who make a combative foursome trying to force a revolution. In short, trying to do what Nana Patekar could not do in KRANTIVEER.
