Kismet Wedding Show

Getting Married? Don?t miss Kismet, North America?s LARGEST South Asian Bridal Show and Magazine. Taking place on Sunday February 21st, 2010 at the International Centre, Kismet is now in its eighth year and continues to be the one stop shop for all the top wedding planning products and services.

From decorators to dj’s, banquet halls to bombonieres, hair, makeup and henna artists, Kismet offers the largest variety of the cities top wedding professionals. “Couples getting married today are extremely busy and just don’t know where to start planning” says Director of Marketing, Anita Dharamshi. “It’s not like how it was when our parents first came to this country and there were very few services catering to the South Asian community. There is a lot of variety out there today and couples simply don’t have the time to go and visit 10 – 15 decorators or photographers or banquet halls. They need to make quick decisions with limited time and be able to get as much information in one shot.” With over 200 vendors, couples getting married are sure to find all they need at Kismet to plan the wedding of their dreams.

Brides looking for that perfect wedding or reception outfit need look no further. With a strong focus on fashion and the latest trends in bridal attire and accessories for both men and woman, Kismet offers 2 fashion shows taking place throughout the day at 1:30 and 4:30pm. Brides and grooms will have the opportunity to check out the latest trends in bridal lehngas, saree’s, sherara’s, and more along with the hottest colours and styles in men’s sherwani’s and suits. “We’ve had brides that have come up to us at the end of the fashion show and ask where they can find a particular outfit because they have just fallen in love with it!” says Kismet Magazine, Editor-In-Chief, Harpreet Patel. “It’s nice to be able to help brides find that perfect outfit.” All outfits showcased during the fashion shows are also available for purchase at the show and featured in this years issue of Kismet Bridal Magazine.

As always, Kismet Magazine is a must-have for every bride and groom, filled with over 300 pages of the latest trends in fashion, accessories, décor, hair, makeup and more. In addition, the magazine is filled with tons of unique wedding planning ideas, informative articles and special features such as the Kismet Couples – local couples with a unique wedding story to tell. Also included in the magazine is the Kismet Wedding Planner – an easy-to-use guide and checklist to help manage vendors, budgets, guestlists, and keep yourself organized and on schedule. Brides that are not able to make it to the show, can pick up a copy of Kismet Magazine from Chapters and Indigo stores across the country or visit the website at www.KismetWeddingShow.com for a list of locations where the magazine is being sold.

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND – the Kismet Beauty Zone is BACK; a special island dedicated to hair, makeup, skincare, mehndi and all things beauty. Top beauty consultants from around the city will be available to perform mini-makeovers and offer tips for the brides and bridal party to help them look their best for the big day!

And don’t forget about those free prizes! Brides coming to the show can also enter to win plenty of free prizes and giveaways including a diamond ring valued at over $7000, courtesy of TheRingBearer.ca, Canada’s Trendiest Online Wedding Magazine.

With so much to offer, it’s no wonder that Kismet continues to be North America’s LARGEST South Asian Bridal Show.
