Michael Glawogger’s Whores’ Glory takes a peek into the lives of sex workers in three different settings in three completely different parts of the globe: Bangkok, Thailand, Faridpur, Bangladesh, and Reynosa, Mexico. What ensues is a humanistic observer's approach to a serious and disturbing issue.

Suseendran’s Azhagarsamy’s Horse is a cute romantic comedy. The film is set in a beautiful village in Tamil Nadu in South India. Villagers believe that by appeasing their deity Azhagar and taking his wooden horse to the river, the village will receive rain. At the advice of the soothsayer, the drought stricken village starts preparing to celebrate the ritualistic annual festival for God Azhagar. The village elders go door-to-door collecting funds to prepare for the festival but when they get to the temple they are petrified to find that the wooden horse is missing.

It’s hockey meets Bollywood on ice! Robert Lieberman’s Breakaway hopes to detach itself from traditional constraints and cultural norms. Co-written by Vinay Virmani and co-produced by father and local businessman Ajay Virmani, Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar and comedian Russell Peters, the film focuses on the tug of war between the dilemma of second generation Indo-Canadians and the values of their immigrant parents. It stars Vinay Virmani, Russell Peters, Anupam Kher, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, Sakina Jaffrey, Noureen Dewulf, Rob Lowe and Camilla Belle.

Michael is a psychological thriller produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The film is dark and intense and stars Naseeruddin Shah at the helm followed by Mahie Gill, Purav Bhandare, Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Irawati Harshe.

Breakaway Buzz Mela will also feature international recording superstars and Brampton’s own Brand Ambassadors RDB along with Josh, Bohemia, Jassi Sidhu, H-Dhami and Veronica LIVE in concert.
