EKTAA - Unity Within Diversity

The Social Services Network (SSN) is a not for profit agency with a mission to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate direct services to the South Asian community through partnerships developed with other service providers. Specifically, our vision is to strive for improvement in the quality of life of the South Asian community in York region.

The Social Services Network proudly presents the 5th annual EKTAA – Unity within Diversity, South Asian Cultural show. EKTAA will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Bur Oak Secondary School located at 933 Bur Oak Ave., Markham. The show begins at 6:00p.m.

The theme of this South Asian cultural event is bridging the intergenerational gap. In line with this theme, the event has been planned and coordinated by SSN’s youth group, Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) and the Intergeneration committee, a group of enthusiastic seniors and youth. The event will feature variety of performances involving youth and seniors.

In context to our current social milieu, of growing issues around youth and seniors, the proceeding of this event will be of interest to everyone and in particular the South Asian community. We cordially invite you to the event. We expect an audience of 400 and 10 multi-cultural performances for EKTAA. Your presence and applause will motivate the seniors and youths to plan many more exciting initiatives in future.
