desiFEST 2011: Prita Chhabra
desiFEST, Canada's South Asian Festival , will be celebrating its 5th year anniversary on Saturday, May 28th, 2011, at Yonge & Dundas Square in Toronto, ON. Check out who will be rocking the stage at this year's event.
Prita Chhabra
• Prita was nominated for “Best Female Act” at the 2010 Toronto Independent Music Awards and received a 2010 “Excellence in Entertainment” award from the National Association of Indo-Canadians.
• Prita has been featured alongside the likes of #1 Billboard artist Jay Sean, world renowned comic Russell Peters, Grammy nominee Eric Roberson and Michael Jackson tribute group Signature.
• Her debut album “Spread the Word” consists of seven original songs with Montreals JUNO nominated Othentic Production. Her debut music video from her sophmore album, “Roots” was premiered at Tampa Bay’s 2nd annual India International Film Festival and is set to release worldwide in May 2011.
