The BMO Bank of Montreal Carassauga Festival of Cultures is Ontario’s largest – and Canada’s second largest – multicultural festival. Now celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Carassauga 2010 literally offers many new and exciting additions!
More Nations. More Fun.
Many of the pavilions will be consolidated in the area in and around the Hershey Centre. This will allow visitors to reach more pavilions over the weekend and take in everything the festival has to offer. There will be 29 countries showcased at the Hershey Centre, located in the Community Rinks building, Main Bowl, SportZone and outdoor area.
Fun and New for Kids
Be sure to bring your kids this year! This year’s Festival features a new Kids Zone located inside the Hershey Centre SportZone on the large indoor soccer field. Activities include BMO soccer demonstrations, face painting and performances by popular children’s entertainer, Lenny Graf.Saturday Evening Special Guest
On Saturday evening, come out and hear Mississauga’s own Suzie McNeil. You may remember Suzie as the last woman standing in the 2005 hit reality series Rockstar:INXS. Since then, she has released two albums in Canada with several top 10 hits… including the Gold selling 'Supergirl' and the Olympic inspired 'Believe' which Suzie performed at the Closing Ceremonies for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
