Arthritis Society Fundraiser

Lynn Manwar signed up for the Joints in Motions Program in support of the Arthritis Society in December 2009. She was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis at age 30.

Her first arthritis flare up was experienced one morning in September 2003 when she couldn't get out of bed.  She had trouble moving and walking, and resigned from her job.   After attending the Arthritis Self Management Program offered by the Arthritis Society, she learned a few things, implemented an exercise program, attended physiotherapy and worked her way to feeling better.

Some days walking is a challenge for her, but she doesn't give up.  Now, seven years later, it's her opportunity to give back and inspire others to be in motion and movement. She is getting ready for the biggest challenge of her life.  With a commitment to raise $10, 500.00 in support of the Arthritis Society as part of the Joints in Motion Program and to trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp in October 2010, she has created a special fundraising event, that reflects all that she loves.

Her first Arthritis Society Fundraiser?a night of motivation, performances, and comedy! will be held on Sunday, May 30th, 2010 at Harlem Restaurant on 67 Richmond St. E. From 6pm-10pm.
